Alok Dixit is a journalist turned social activist, fighting for the freedom of internet in India. He is the founder member of 'Save Your Voice', a movement against internet censorship in India and 'Stop Acid Attacks' Campaign, a campaign to raise voices against acid violence.

His works include campaigning against the censorship on the online media and to help acid survivors to live a life free of violence. Stop Acid Attacks has been campaigning aggressively to create awareness against this brutal form of violence rampant across the country. It also provides a unique shelter home "Chhanv" or acid attack survivors to meet, celebrate and learn. Dixit studied broadcast journalism from Indian Insitute of Journalism & New Media, Bangalore, after serving with the IAF for a brief period.

A former journalist and batch mate of Alok's from IIJNM, Suneet takes care of the communication on behalf of the campaign. Having spent considerable time in various parts across the country as a student, artist, journalist and gypsy wanderer, he realized an imminent need to campaign for a safer society for women. Acid Attacks, being the most brutal crime prevalent in this region, had to be targetted and pinned down, and Dixit's passion to pursue this campaign seemed the right avenue to initiate this awareness stream in the society.

Ashish studied journalism, but found himself campaigning among activists, even as a student. An integral part of the campaign, he has helped Alok put the various pieces together that constituted Stop Acid Attacks and Chhanv. A talented artist himself, Ashish keeps the spirits happy and high at the campaign, taking care of the logistics and infrastructure required to support the very basic set up we have at our match-box flat.
